World of Warcraft happens within the Warcraft entire world of Azeroth, approximately four years after the events right at the end of Blizzard's previous Wow release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The first expansion set of the game, The Burning Crusade, was released on Present cards 16, 2007. The second expansion arranged, Wrath of the Lich King, was released on November 13, 2008. The third expansion collection, Cataclysm, was released on November 7, 2010. At BlizzCon in July 2010, lead producer J. Allen Brack announced that there would have been a fourth expansion set for the game, though the developers wouldn't yet know what it will be about.

As with other MMORPGs, players control a character avatar (also referred to as a toon) within a game world in third- as well as first-person view, exploring the landscape, fighting various monsters, completing quests, and interacting with non-player personas (NPCs) or maybe other players. Also similar to some other MMORPGs, World of Warcraft requires the player to afford a subscription, either by buying prepaid game cards for a selected amount of playing time, or by using the credit or debit card to pay on a regular basis.
To enter the online game, the player must select a realm-sometimes often called a server. Each realm acts for individual copy of the action world, and falls into certainly one of four categories. Realms are either person versus player (PvP), where open combat among players is more established, or player versus natural environment (PvE), where the gameplay is more aimed at defeating monsters and finishing quests. Roleplay (RP) and also roleplay-PvP (RP-PVP) variants of both primary realm types can also be available. Realms are also sorted by language, with in-game support from the language available. Players can make new characters on all realms, and it is also possible to go already established characters between realms for the fee. |
